On 30th March 2011 the Justice Secretary, Kenneth Clarke announced that The Bribery Act 2010 would come into force on 1st July 2011

The Ministry of Justice has published the guidance that sets out measures businesses can put in place to prevent bribery. The Act enhances and simplifies existing legislation and its implications are wider than those of the Foreign and Corrupt Practices Act 1977 (FCPA). The Act will have a major impact on UK Companies and Organisations in all sectors regardless of their size as well as foreign companies operating in the UK.
